Description

The Brainstorm is a directional twin, a board with a symmetrical shape with a slightly set back position of the feet, here 1,5 cm, enabling control in the turns and lift in powder. Its construction which mixes wood, carbon, kevlar and basalt makes it both light and dynamic enabling a  rapid response and great vivacity. 

What is the programme of the Slash Brainstorm snowboard?  

The Slash Brainstorm is able to move around the whole resort, with as much ease on the piste as in a wooded section looking for powder, or in the snowpark between two kickers and three rails. It is a beast of versatility, offering control and responsiveness at all times. Its camber + rocker profile provides a secure grip on hard snow, makes the board tolerant to edge faults at the spatula level for more playability in freestyle, and makes it easy to float on powder. The carbon, kevlar and basalt enriched wood construction boosts ollie pop, bounce in turns and stability at high speed. However, the Brainstorm is not too stiff and turns without the need to strain the supports, when you have the necessary technical level. 

Who is the Slash Brainstorm snowboard for?   

This model is designed for snowboarders who are active in the resort, like to freestyle but also enjoy the opportunities offered by the beautiful snow conditions and the diversity of terrain in the ski area. Too technical for beginners, we recommend it from the intermediate/confirmed level.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
