Description

The Slash Brainstorm features a twin directional shape that gives it both good maneuverability and fluid glide in powder, while retaining great freestyle skills. In fact, the symmetrical shape provides a true tail for tricks and switching, while the feet are positioned backwards for easier entry into curves and unloading in powder. In terms of construction, the Brainstorm benefits from a wood core reinforced with carbon, kevlar and basalt, which you can take full advantage of thanks to the camber profile with rocker at the tips. As a result, it offers plenty of bounce in turns and pop in ollie, remains stable at high speeds and dampens vibrations well. At the same time, the tips remain flexy, allowing you to place presses with ease and keep your support comfortable. As a result, you'll always have enough power in your legs to place tricks or link turns without stopping. Last but not least, it works on all types of snow, always providing a good ratio between edge control and forgiveness. A great model for freestyle riding all over the resort, slopes, off-piste and snowpark.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
