Description

Slash is the brand of the Austrian snowboarder Gigi Rüf, a freestyle oriented brand with boards recognisable by their original graphics but above all by the small notches in the shape of the board at the tip. The Happy Place is a beautiful, playful and versatile twin-tip board with a light wood shell between two layers of fibreglass and carbon fibre reinforcements in the tip area for more ollie pop and edge stability.

What is the programme of the Slash Happy Place snowboard?

A pure twin-tip board perfectly symmetrical from nose to tail, the Happy Place is designed to be ridden both regular and switch. Its accessible flex makes it easy to ride and with great playability, with spatulas that can be easily deformed to place big presses and stylish flat tricks. The Happy Place is not a play toy, it is a great companion when putting a little bit of rhythm in the descents. The classic camber area between the bindings and carbon reinforcements provide good grip in sharp turns and stability when taking longer turns and accelerating. The rocker zones in the spatula area provide forgiveness for freestyle and improve glide in powder. So, you can also have fun on the edges of the piste with relief and fresh snow. And needless to say, this board is ideal for sending tricks on the snowpark modules.

Who is the Slash Happy Place snowboard for?

We recommend this model to snowboarders of a more intermediate and above level, looking for a freestyle snowboard with lots of playability and versatility, for fun throughout the resort and to ride without stress.

What are the main qualities of the Slash Happy Place snowboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
