Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Alfa from The Boards Company is a snowboard designed for freestyle riding but not limited to this use. It features a directional twin shape, traditional camber profile and medium flex, to work on any terrain and send tricks easily.

What is the program of The Alfa snowboard?

The Alfa features a wood core reinforced by biaxial fiberglass, offering an even flex and powerful pop. The camber provides grip on hard snow, while the rocker areas at the tips allow to ride easily on powder. The Alfa is ideal to have fun on groomers, side hits and deep snow. The directional twin shape allows to benefit from natural lift on powder.

Who is The Alfa snowboard for?

We recommend The Alfa to intermediate and advanced level snowboarders looking for an easy to ride all-round snowboard with which they’ll be able to shred in the entire resort and send it on the park’s features.

What are the main assets of The Alfa snowboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
