Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Burton Flight Attendant Split features a directional shape with a taper from nose to tail, a slightly setback stance and directional camber. This provides control to the back foot, making the board truly nimble, easy to enter into turns and able to lift naturally in powder. The classic camber + rocker profile is efficient and versatile. The camber guarantees grip and stability on hard pack, the rockers smoothen edge transfers and dampen the unevenness of the terrain for a smoother glide on transformed snow or powder. The camber is also important in the ascents for secure kick turns. The flex is punchy without being too demanding physically, with a FSC Super Fly II 700G wood core reinforced by glass fibre. The board allows fast paced descents but remains friendly and comfortable to ride. We still recommend it to advanced snowboarders as the freeride splitboarding program requires skills and experience.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
