Description

from certified wood from sustainably managed forests. This core is embedded in a triaxial fiberglass sandwich, increasing torsional rigidity and therefore stability. The result is a really powerful board, while the directional shape provides manoeuvrability and versatility.

What is the Burton FT Leader Board Split program?

The FT Leader Board Split is very directional, with 10mm less width in the back than in the front, as well as a back foot position. This allows for easier turns and a natural lift in powder. At the same time, the powerful construction combined with the classic camber makes for a board that has a good grip, aggressive and stable at high speed. Don't worry if you encounter hard sections of snow, it will maintain a good grip. So, you can draw nice full speed lines without stalling, whether the snow is fresh, transformed or hard. For ascents, it is efficient and secure, without being an ultra-light model.

Who is the Burton FT Leader Board Split for?

It is suitable for experienced or expert snowboarders, powerful and technical, already practicing splitboard. It will give them all the performance they are looking for on the descent to go tracing on committed freeride lines.

What are the main qualities of the Burton FT Leader Board Split?

Power

Stability at high speed

Efficiency on all types of snow

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
