Description

If you remember the TWC Standard, the Ripcord is its successor and does a good job at replacing it. Under its sober look, the board has got a lot to offer to all-mountain riders. Designed for being easy and agile, it incorporates a V-rocker profile and a directional shape enhancing powder floatation and manoeuverability. The specific profile also allows the board to perform on harder terrain and to deliver a solid edge grip when needed so the rider is always in control. The soft flex provides smooth transitions and helps riders to build up confidence on the slopes.

What our testers say : The Ripcord is very similar to the Clash, both boards feature the same shapes and constructions with a V-Rocker. They're both all-mountain boards, very playful and forgiving and suited for progression. The only difference stands in the flex pattern. The Ripcord features a directional flex making it more manoeuverable while the Clash has a twin flex allowing for switch riding. Which is gonna be yours ?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
