Are you looking for a splitboard to get up beautiful ascents and tackle any descent? You will probably like the split version of the Burton Hometown Hero. Indeed, this splitboard benefits from a very directional shape with 40 mm of setback for more control in the turns and so that the board automatically lifts in powder. The flex, shape and camber profile of the board are also directional, also to boost the precision and smoothness in the turns, as well as to float better in deep snow. Regarding the construction, the use of a Super Fly II 700G core combined to a glass and carbon fibre weave optimises the weight for more ease in the climbs, this improves the torsional stiffness for more performance in the ascents. This way, with the Burton Hometown Hero Split you can discover new spots and earn your turns, ride with commitment and have fun in various terrains, always with comfort and good handling sensations.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
