Description

Another new toy in DC collection. The Hellcity. A board inspired from the MLF which was pretty much the flaghship of the brand. So the board changes name but to be honest, it remains pretty similar. We're still on a freestyle-oriented board boasting an Impact core with quadrax and carbon reinforcements. The board is extremely powerful and responsive, the traditional underfoot camber offers added reactivity and enhances edge control and edge to edge transfers. Ideal if you like shredding the park and ripping the pistes!

 

What our testers say : This is a poppy and powerful board, best-suited for park rats and trick-amateurs with an advanced or expert level. The board feels stable and gripy, it's got that snappy response feel that's really enjoyable through the park. The stiff flex delivers excellent performance on rougher terrains and gives the board what it needs to perform. We tried riding powder as well and the board worked surprisingly well on it. Yes, it requires a bit of technique, but advanced riders should be able to have fun without much trouble.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
