Description

The Jones Mountain Twin Split stands out from the other splitboards of the brand by its freestyle abilities. Indeed, it offers a symmetrical shape that allows for easy landings and switch riding. As for the rest, we find the know-how of the reference brand of splitboards, with a lot of reliability, a good weight/power ratio and eco-responsible materials.

What is the program of the Jones Mountain Twin Split?

The Mountain Twin Split is a great splitboard for the resort, off-piste and backcountry freestyle program. Its good power-to-weight ratio, edge hold and quality equipment (including the new, even lighter Karakoram assembly clips), give you all the reliability you need during ascents. On the way down, you'll enjoy a board that's efficient on all types of snow, able to pick up speed without trembling, but still has the playability and serious kicker skills.

Who is the Jones Mountain Twin Split board for?

This model is aimed at the experienced snowboarder looking for a splitboard that is efficient on all types of snow, but with which he will still be able to freestyle during off-piste runs.

What are the main qualities of the Jones Mountain Twin Splitboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
