The Jones Ultra Solution is one of the best performing splitboards on the market, thanks to its highly efficient freeride shape and high-end construction, as well as being as eco-friendly as possible. It features a powerful carbon-reinforced wood shell, recycled edges and rims, and bio-based glue and wax. The Ultra Solution also benefits from the new Karakoram assembly clips, which are even lighter and thinner but still as reliable as ever.  

What is the program of the Jones Ultra Solution snowboard?  

As its name suggests, the Ultra Solution features Jones' Ultra construction, which offers an exceptional power-to-weight ratio thanks to its wood species combined with carbon fibre. This splitboard offers maximum performance during descents while being light during ascents, so you can go on expeditions to draw committed lines far from the ski lifts. The directional shape with a generous front tip volume and rocker, a thinner and stiffer tail, and a back foot position, ensures a precise and efficient ride on all types of snow. Lift is excellent in the powder, as is grip and stability on hard snow thanks to the classic camber section, Traction Tech 2.0 edges and impressive torsional rigidity.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
