Description

The Squash Split stands out from other splitboards with its angular nose, tapered shape and fishtail-like tail. If this shape is indicative of good performance in powder snow, the Squash Split will also surprise you with its efficiency on hard snow. Perfectly adapted to splitboarding, it has been lightened with a Power Core Lite shell to meet the need to lighten up on rides, while the forged aluminium hooks guarantee locking and stability on the descent.

What is the program of the Nitro Squash Split?

Directional in shape and flex, with setback binding inserts, the Squash Split is naturally good for powder and turns. It offers instinctive cornering on all terrains, and will be particularly enjoyable to ride on medium and gentle slopes in all snow conditions. The flotation is excellent in powder and on hard snow you will enjoy a very effective grip thanks to the well-marked classic camber. You can do as many turns as you like without getting exhausted, it's a real treat on fresh snow as well as on mixed snow.

Who is the Nitro Squash Split board for?

Really pleasant to ride, this Nitro splitboard can be used by one in the intermediate/confirmed level provided of course that you have a good knowledge of the mountains and or is accompanied by a professional if you go off-piste. Not too demanding and light enough, it allows you to make great outings and enjoy the off-piste descents to the fullest.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
