The Nitro Vertical is a two-part splitboard, featuring a high-end construction providing great performances both in the ascents and descents. This is an elite model for high altitude adventures.  

What is the program of the Nitro Vertical splitboard?

The Nitro Vertical is a very alpine splitboard, with a very directional shape. It is tapered, with a narrower tail compared to the nose, its rocker is more substantial in the nose than the tail and the foot stance has 25 mm of setback. This facilitates turning, improves the control of your trajectories and provides easy lift in powder. The classic camber, combined to Hike Pods protrusions, provides great edge hold, both during the ascents for kick turns or for steep descents or any technical terrain. The Exclusive Koroyd PowerLite Core construction with carbon Diamond Laminates provides great torsional stiffness while remaining ultra-lightweight. This way, edging is secure in the descents, the board is stable at high-speed, while being designed to munch through elevation gains.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
