Description

The Plum Prems is a splitboard with a directional shape, thinner at the back than at the front. The construction is very qualitative, using a dual wood shell (ash and paulownia), enclosed in a quadriaxial fibreglass sandwich offering a firm flex and high stability.

What is the programme of the Plum Prems splitboard?

In addition to the beauty of the wood finish, the Prems has a construction that guarantees an outstanding performance on all terrains. The directional shape, with volume at the front, a tighter tail and a slightly set back foot position, ensures an easier ride on all terrains and allows the nose to come out more easily in deep snow. The double nose and tail rocker ensure smoother transitions between turns, while absorbing the unevenness of the terrain. Finally, the classic camber ensures a perfect grip on hard snow, to secure edge grip whether on descents with hard snow, or on ascents in conversion. Finally, as you've been told, the wood core reinforced with a double layer of quadriaxial fibreglass gives you the power and stability you need to ride hard and take on difficult slopes.

Who is the Plum Prems splitboard for?

We recommend this model to experienced or expert snowboarders, who are new to splitboarding or who are already experienced in the sport, and are looking to enjoy a beautiful, high-performance, home-made and locally produced board.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
