Description

The Weston Eclipse has a wood shell, triaxial fibreglass layers and two carbon stringers. Its flex is fairly firm and, combined with the classic camber section, it provides bounce in curves and stability at high speed. It has a tapered shape with a bulky front spatula and a well-defined rocker. Incidentally, Weston has its boards manufactured in China in a carbon neutral factory, that does not use products containing volatile organic compounds (dangerous to the health) and is a member of the NGO Protect Our Winters.

What is the programme of the Weston Eclipse splitboard

The Weston Eclipse is going to be your go-to-splitboard, the board you take out on every occasion thanks to its versatility, manoeuvrability and stability. Its flotation is super satisfying, it is easy to handle thanks to the front rocker and the slightly offset binding inserts on the rear. Its grip is impeccable on hard snow and maintains stability whilst accelerating thanks to the triaxial fibre and carbon reinforcements. A good board that can be used in a variety of conditions, with a strong focus on freeride and powder snow.

Who is the Weston Eclipse splitboard for?

This model is designed for experienced or expert snowboarders looking for a versatile and high-performance splitboard suitable for both powder and hard snow.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
