Description

The Weston Riva is equipped with a peach wood shell reinforced with carbon stringers to increase rigidity while retaining the necessary lightness for ascents. The flex is firm and allows you to take full advantage of the hard and powder skills offered by the directional shape and camber + rocker profile.

What is the programme of the Weston Riva splitboard?

The Weston Riva is a high performance and versatile splitboard suitable for all terrains. Its directional and tapered shape provides control and an effortless flotation, the classic camber provides grip, the rocker zones soften transitions while improving flotation even further. Finally, its torsional stiffness and rebound provides grip, bounce through curves and stability at high speed. It is therefore a high-performance splitboard suitable for descents in a variety of conditions.

Who is the Weston Riva splitboard intended for?

We recommend this model to expert snowboarders looking for a splitboard suitable for engagement on slightly steep freeride lines without compromising support.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
