Description

The Weston Seeker offers a well-balanced flex thanks to its wood shell, provides bounce and stability thanks to its rigidity, yet ensures comfort and accessibility thanks to its flexibility. The camber + rockers profile and directional shape provide versatility and manoeuvrability. Finally, remember that the Seeker is manufactured in China but in a carbon neutral factory that uses a VOC-free (Volatile Organic Compounds, harmful to the health) paint and glue, and the Weston brand supports various initiatives such as the environmental NGO POW and the AIARE Institute for Avalanche Research and Education.

What is the programme of the Weston Seeker splitboard

The Seeker is designed as an introduction to splitboarding and freeride. The board is light and functional for your split ascents, while maintaining performance and manoeuvrability on descents. Its directional shape offers a natural lift in powder and a better control in turns. The classic camber provides the grip needed for hard snow and descents, while the rockers at the front and back ensure a smooth edge-to-edge transition and further increases the lift.

Who is the Weston Seeker splitboard for?

We recommend the Seeker to snowboarders looking for a model suitable for the initiation to splitboarding. It enables them to discover the practice, acquire experience and progress in a variety of conditions.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
