A strong and durable helmet

The entire Driver range benefits from Smart Safety 360. This process enhances safety by combining EPS 4D technology to a full EPP construction for exceptional absorption, even above safety standards. You can also count on its hybrid construction, based on moulded ABS and In-Mold to combine a light weight with strength. The helmets also feature MaxFit Construction, with V-shaped ear pads, designed for comfort and a perfect fit. Regarding ventilation, the Concept Airflow system keeps your head cool in all situations thanks to venting channels integrated into the EPS 4D foam, providing constant air flow. Finally, for those who like to ride with music, the ear pads are compatible with audio systems and guarantee a very good sound experience.

Built-in visor with Sigma lens

With Salomon Driver 2-in-1 helmets, no need for goggles as they feature built-in visors. The visor is easy to use thanks to Motion Shield Advanced technology. This system allows to pull the visor up and down very smoothly and easily, in a motion inspired by goggles. Sigma optical technology provides a touch of innovation by enhancing colour contrasts on snow. This allows you to better read the terrain and spot obstacles. Depending on the model, the protection category changes. Note that Driver Prime Sigmas benefit from an interchangeable magnetic lens system to adapt quickly to changes in weather conditions, and a model comes with a photochromic lens that adapts to ambient light. The visor is OTG, compatible with prescription glasses, another great feature.

Driver Pro Sigma: with or without Mips

If you’re looking for a qualitative visor helmet but don’t need some of the more advanced features and want to keep the price low, you can opt for the Salomon Driver Pro. This model is lighter than its cousin the Driver Prime, at 690 and 720 grams depending on the version you choose. Indeed, this helmet is offered in a standard version, the Driver Pro Sigma, and a version with Mips technology, the Driver Pro Sigma Mips, that reduces rotational force transmitted to the head during angled impacts for superior protection. Regarding adjustability, it has a Custom Dial 360 wheel for an optimal fit. The AdvancedSkin ActiveDry comfort liner dries quickly to keep your head dry and it also removable and washable. As opposed to its cousin, the Driver Pro lacks the magnetic interchangeable lens system. Meaning you’ll have to select the appropriate lens when purchasing.

Drive Prime Sigma: Plus and Photo Mips versions

If your pockets are deeper and you’re looking for the best helmet technologies, the Salomon Driver Prime should make you happy. Available in two versions, the Driver Prime Sigma Plus and Driver Prime Sigma Photo Mips, weighing respectively 720 and 750 grams. Some specs set them apart from the Pro versions. First, on these models, the visor features an interchangeable magnetic lens system, enabling you to adapt to all weather conditions. By the way, a replacement lens is included with the Driver Prime Sigma Plus. The Sigma Photo Plus doesn’t come with an additional lens as it has a photochromic lens that adapts to ambient light with a protection rating ranging from 1 to 3. The Driver Prime Sigmas also have a BOA 360 adjustment system for a quick fit. Their removable and washable comfort liner is made of merino wool for even better comfort and a plush feel.
