Alpine Ski Faction Eleven5

Ski sold without binding.

The Eleven5 by Faction is a big mountain ski that’s about to make a serious name for itself! The fat ski features a huge 115cm waist, a massive rockered tip and a strong titanal reinforcement. With such cards up the sleeve, the Eleven5 can hit any slope covered in pow that the mountain has to offer.

What can the Faction Eleven5 ski do?

The Eleven5 is not the ski that you can use every day, unless you live in Alaska, but it’s the ski that’s going to stick the biggest smile on your face when snow’s been dumping all night. Its massive sidecuts will carry this powder gun above surface with a ridiculous ease and the huge rocker will help it plow through obstacles with tons of power. The titanal reinforced core maximises stability at high speed and allows powder surfing or cliff jumping with confidence. The strong construction makes landings easier and provides lots of support. If you want to bomb the entire mountain, the ski’s a safe pick. Its dual radius profile enables short turns despite its huge dimensions and those who like to run through the trees should appreciate the agility of it. It’s also a ski that handles harder conditions thanks to a traditional camber (2mm) providing added edge control, and a flat tail giving the ski more acceleration out of turns and more precision through the turns. This means you can totally ride on piste and rip black runs if there is no powder around. The ski is stiff, designed for riding on steep slopes at high speed. Make sure you’re ready for it.

Who is the Faction Eleven5 ski designed for?

Suited for gnarly riders who aren’t afraid of steeps. If you are super fit with strong legs and great technical skills, the ski is for you. The Eleven5 is a fantastic backcountry shredder that can ride in any conditions and deliver high performance. Don’t look for flexibility or softness, it’s a charger.

Structure - Construction

  • Dual Radius Sidecuts  :

Borrowed from world cup race skis, two different radius on the one ski- a tighter radius forward of the boot center coupled with a 20% larger sidecut behind- lets us increase the edge-to-edge responsiveness so you can carve short turns whilst retaining high speed stability and control through the tail of the ski.

  • Poplar & Ash Core  :

A poplar core with ash "stringers" is used for their complimentary characteristics of dampness and responsiveness. Used on the bulk of the skis, this together with fiberglass above and below the core provide a smooth feel and control in all snow conditions.

  • Sandwich Construction  :

    Sandwich construction

  •  :

Titanal has the same properties in all directions and excellent dampening properties. Our skis with Titanal have excellent torsional strength and responsiveness.

  • Transition zone technology  :

Our "Blended Transition Zones" use complex curve geometries where both positive/negative sidecut and where rocker/camber meet to make turn initiation fluid yet the whole ski more stable controllable in all conditions.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

  • 10/200mm Tip Rocker  :

Skis featuring a rockered tip and a traditional or flat camber float better on soft snow and deliver goof performance on groomers.

    10mm rise on a 200mm length.

  • 2mm Camber  :

Easy turn initiation on the slope, added reactivity off piste

  • 5/100mm tail rocker  :

The Rocker, or reverse camber, enhances powder floatation thanks to a bigger surface of contact with the snow. By combining different degrees of rocker with a flat or normal camber, powder performance is improved while piste performance isn't affected.

    5mm rocker rising on 100mm

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

  • Ptex-4000 die-cut bases  :

Very High density base for an excellent glide performance, wax retention, and resistance to abrasion.

  • Hardened Topsheets
