Alpine Ski Stockli Scale Gamma

Ski sold without binding.

With the Scale series you know you will find the all-mountain ski suited for your needs. Featuring skis with different widths and lengths, Stöckli makes available an impressive line of skis. The most difficult thing is to pick the right one.

What can the Stöckli Scale Gamma do?

Even if the Gamma features a narrower waist than the others, it’s easy to get familiar with it and start playing in the snow. It has a big rockered tip enhancing turn initiations and the ski works well on ungroomed snow. This all-mountain ski truly excels on piste though, where its shape delivers optimal carving performance. Energy transmissions are fast, the traditional camber offers solid edge control and tons of energy return with a strong kick out of turns. The flat tail enhances manoeuverability throughout the turns and allows hard charging skiers to push hard on the skis. The Gamma is a nice blend of Stöckli’s technologies providing interesting performance on all terrains. The ski has a mid-short turning radius allowing technical turns as well as longer turns when the speed gets increased. Whatever your style, the Scale Gamma adapts and gives skiers an enjoyable feel of freedom on the mountain!

Who is the Stöckli Scale Gamma designed for?

This all-mountain quiver brings versatility to intermediate and advanced skiers looking for a new partner they can use everyday. Top this up with a swiss made construction and you get a high-end all-mountain performer.

Structure - Construction

  • Light Core  :

Light and stable - the new wood combination of Sabei (Fuma) and ash that make up the lightweight core fulfill just these criteria. Even lighter is balsa wood - one of the lightest woods available and yet best suited for ski construction.

  • Sandwich System  :

Sandwich construction is part of a quality ski. This construction layers different materials chosen for their physical characteristics depending on the characteristics needed for the ski.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

  • Powder Rocker  :

The longer curvature in the shovel improves lift in powder snow and prevents the ski from burying itself so easily underneath the snow. The early curvature also reduce the gliding surface, making the ski feel shorter and more maneuverable. On the slope the shorter running surface makes carving easier, requiring considerably less effort especially with wider skis.

Rocker type

  • Tip rocker  :

Skis are more manoeuvrable, contact points on the skis are placed in order to reduce the effective running length, which allows easier pivot and a better float.
