Description

The Avalanche Rescue Set Diract combines an Ortovox Diract avalanche beacon, Alu 240 probe and Badger shovel, which constitute essential mountain safety elements. 

Diract transceiver 

The Ortovox Diract avalanche beacon has the same casing, ergonomics and functionality as the Ortovox Diract Voice, but without the voice guidance function. You get the large 360° display screen, the wide 50 metre search band, Smart Antenna technology, etc. 

In transmission mode, i.e., if you are in an avalanche, the Smart Antenna technology analyses the position of the device in the avalanche and automatically switches to the best transmission antenna. This can increase the range, and therefore your chances of being found quickly as well.

Alu 240 probe 

The Alu 240 avalanche probe from Ortovox features the Quick-Lock locking system which allows quick and easy deployment. It takes only a few seconds to put together or unlock and disassemble. A screw allows to adjust the tension quickly. The tip, with a slightly wider diameter than the rest of the probe provides better snow penetration. The Alu 240 probe features a visual check system with depth markings.

Badger 2,5 shovel 

Super quick to put together and incredibly light, the Badger Safety snow shovel is made of aluminium with an ergonomic hybrid handle. It benefits from a stiff construction to dig very efficiently. The raised edges of the blade and side grooves make it easier to enter the snow and push with your foot.
