Description
The Beal Birdie belay device provides braking assistance during a fall and allows precise control of the descent thanks to its handle. The brake pad, as well as the cam, are made of stainless steel. It operates on the same principle as the famous Grigri from Petzl, while being slightly more compact. It is perfectly suitable for lead climbing and top-roping. It allows for rope exit aligned with the axis of the device, preventing it from twisting. Compatible with all single ropes from 8.5 to 10.5 mm, it is very comfortable to use.
