Belay Device Pinch Anthracite Oasis

The Edelrid Pinch Anthracite Oasis belay device is designed to meet the various demands of sport climbing, multi-pitch routes and rope progression. This innovative device offers direct integration into the central ring of the harness, thus optimising body proximity and control over the rope on the brake side. The belay device allows the user to feed out slack without locking the device, facilitating smooth handling with four fingers. Thanks to its compact design, it is possible to offer an additional length of rope from 20 to 30 cm in one go. The front steel braking grooves ensure a linear progression of the rope, minimising twists during descents. Effective speed control is achieved by applying pressure on the braking side of the rope, particularly useful with thin ropes. A panic-proof function enhances safety, not just for beginners. The integrated second level of braking activates when pulling on the descent handle, thus ensuring better control when belaying very light people or in configurations where the rope undergoes significant friction. For more confident users, this function can be deactivated using a provided screw. Suited to various multi-pitch conditions, this belay device stands out by offering the possibility to be connected to the belay stance in four distinct directions. This model is also suitable for both left-handed and right-handed users.
