Belay Device Mega Jul II

The Edelrid Mega Jul II belay device represents a significant evolution in the climbing field. This update of the previous model accommodates modern ropes, allowing for the use of thinner diameters starting at 7.8mm. Durability is ensured through the use of steel on friction zones, while the smoothness of belaying, both for feeding slack and securing a second climber, has been significantly enhanced. The design of the Mega Jul II belay device strikes an optimal balance between lightness and increased safety for multi-pitch routes. The new geometry of the device increases braking force, facilitating better fall arrest for the lead climber, and the thumb loop allows for quicker rope release. An additional eyelet has been added to easily unlock the device when belaying a second.
