Origins of Cabaïa, Where Are They Manufactured?

Cabaïa was born in 2015 from the imagination of Bastien Valensi, later joined by Emilien Foiret as a co-founder. Inspired by the loss of his beanie in the Paris metro, Bastien Valensi designed a collection of beanies with interchangeable pom-poms using a magnet system.

Cabaïa first began its journey by marketing beanies. The brand quickly diversified, also offering socks, bath towels, and luggage items, including backpacks.

The brand's exotic name was chosen by Bastien Valensi, who always wanted to associate its products to an image of adventure and freedom.

How to Choose the Ideal Cabaïa Backpack (Mini, Medium, Maxi Sizes)

Choosing the ideal Cabaïa backpack depends on several criteria, including your needs and required storage capacity. Glisshop stocks the 3 versions of the Adventurer model: Mini, Medium and Maxi.

Everyday Use or Travel: If you're looking for a pack for daily commuting, a compact model like the 'mini' might be enough. For longer travels or trips, opt for models like the Adventurer Medium or Maxi.
Size: Cabaïa offers bags of different sizes, ranging from compact backpacks to larger travel bags. The 'mini' size is ideal for a day, the 'medium' for carrying more items, and the 'maxi' is perfect for a weekend or a multi-day trip.
Comfort and Practicality: Cabaïa bags are known for their comfort and ingenuity, with clever pockets and a wide openings. Make sure to choose a model that offers good support to avoid back pain.
Specific Features: Some bags offer specific features, like water resistance or reflective strips. Cabaïa’s technical bike backpack, for example, is rain-proof and ideal for urban commuting.

Take the time to compare the different models and their features to find the Cabaïa pack that best meets your needs. If you have any doubts, do not hesitate to contact us; we will be happy to assist you in your purchasing process.

Manufacturing of Cabaïa Travel Backpacks

The manufacturing of Cabaïa backpacks is closely linked to two fundamental values of the company: sustainability and ethical production.

These items are manufactured in Hong Kong, in the workshops of Pierre, a luggage artisan with over 30 years of experience. These professionals put their expertise at the service of quality, producing each bag with love and great care.

Cabaïa is committed to an eco-responsible approach by offering a range of fully recycled bags. Transport is carried out by boat or train, thus minimizing the carbon footprint. Furthermore, no returned product due to warranty reasons is thrown away. It is either refurbished and resold at a reduced price, or donated to nonprofits.

The manufacturing process is not only environmentally friendly, but it is also focused on innovation. Cabaïa backpacks incorporate ingenious elements such as hidden anti-theft zippers, padded pockets for laptops, and super comfortable straps.

Each step of manufacturing, from the selection of materials to post-production quality tests, is rigorously controlled to guarantee the durability and quality of each product.

How to Clean, Wash, and Maintain Your Cabaïa Men's/Women's Backpack

To ensure a long life for your Cabaïa backpack, it is essential to clean it regularly and correctly. For this, it is recommended to hand wash it with water and mild soap. Use a soft brush to gently scrub stains. If a stain is stubborn, an effective solution is to add a little white vinegar to the water.

After cleaning, let your backpack air dry. Do not expose it to a heat source such as a radiator, dryer, or iron, as this could damage the fabric and components of your bag. For tougher stains, Cabaïa offers a cleaning kit specifically designed for its backpacks. It contains a Marseille soap stain remover and a wood and nylon brush.

Registration and Warranty of Cabaïa Packs

Registering your Cabaïa bag is a crucial step to benefit from the brand's lifetime warranty. To register, simply create an account on Cabaïa’s website and enter your bag’s unique identification code. This code, essential for authenticating your product, is easily identifiable by following the provided guide.

Cabaïa’s lifetime warranty covers a wide range of products, including backpacks, travel bags, and laptop sleeves. In case of an issue with your bag, a simple warranty request on the website is sufficient. You will need to fill out a short form to provide all the necessary information.

The warranty notably covers sewing defects, making sure you go on any adventure with your Cabaïa pack with confidence.
