The Cairn brand was founded in the early 90's by a french family who went to travel in Nepal. They found out that passion wasn't enough for reaching the highest summits, if you are not equipped with quality gear that protects you against extreme conditions, you just can't make it. From this experience, Cairn came to life and it is now famous for making products that combine versatility, functionality and style. In 2000, the brand expanded and began making wintersports accessories like helmets, goggles, back protectors, glasses and clothing. Cairn ski helmets are a good reflection of the brand's spirit led by innovation. The Spectral Visor Magnet for instance caught the market's attention with its removable magnetic visor. Some other helmets also integrate the Recco safety system or the high-end MIPS technology. Cairn ski goggles also use this magnetic technology allowing you to swap lenses in a jiffy (featured on the Magnetik or the Gravity models for instance). There even are OTG goggles equipped with this tech. Finally, if it is your bones you want to take care of, check our selection of Cairn back protectors, they utilize the D30 technology which is a triple density foam that absorbs shocks efficiently while it remains flexible and breathable. Oh, one last thing, Cairn products come at an unbeatable value for money!
