Light Snowboards

Founded in 1996 by Gerd Weisner and Jens Höppel, the german brand Light Snowboards makes snowboards that shine by their quality build. The two founders knew that changing the slightest detail in a building process could change everything in terms of performance. Manufactured in an austrian factory, Light snowboards are vacuum molded and the brand now counts over 35 different models.

At Glisshop, we have selected for you the best from Light Snowboards: freestyle, freeride and all-mountain snowboards all with the same in common. A woodcore, a honeycomb structure, fiberglass reinforcements and V-shaped carbon stringers. In 2003, Light BoartCorp launches its own line of clothing named Light Surfboards and hits the surfing industry with a balinese production. Today, Light Snowboards is part of GTA Distribution, a group dedicated to action sports with its own brands of skateboards, snowboards, surfes or paddle boards.
