Born in 2014 in Hossegor, the stronghold of French surfing, Moken Vision has come a long way to become a must-have in the world of sunglasses and a pioneer in the design of frames made of natural and innovative materials.

The project originated from an awareness of the magnitude of the climate challenge when Clément and Pierre, the two founders, discovered their paradise littered with plastic waste after a series of storms in the winter of 2013/2014. Since that day, for our two companions: ‘it was obvious that plastic would become a battle.’ Sunglasses made of stone have even been created, demonstrating the brand's commitment to research and innovation.

Natural and Innovative Materials

Woody, wood and cork glasses

The Woody models are part of the brand's sustainable range. Here, the combination of wood and cork brings together tradition and passion. Since French forests are rich in cork oak, it was obvious for the two partners to use cork. Aware of the brittle nature of wood, the frames are reinforced with aluminium to prevent any potential problems.

Plant-based sunglasses, it's possible!

Moken Vision plant-based sunglasses represent a great alternative to sunglasses made from petrochemicals. These frames are made of 90% castor plants, a toxic weed. Their properties, similar to nylon, give the temples lightness, flexibility, and shape memory. Say goodbye to plastic!

Biodegradable sunglasses

Yes, the ingenuity of its founders does not stop at natural materials. Clément and Pierre even went so far as to develop sunglasses that can disintegrate. Moken Vision's biodegradable sunglasses biodegrade in 120 days when in contact with the organic matter in your compost.

Whether you are a fisherman, skipper, mountaineer, or ‘pro chiller’, Moken Vision sunglasses adapt to all sports and needs. If you engage in water activities, category 3 polarised lenses will block the effects of glare on the water on a sunny day, which can be dangerous for your eyes.
