Sidas is one man's idea. Loïc David decides in 1975 to create a customisable insole after he observed footprints on the sand of a hawaiian beach. He noticed every foot is unique and has its own shape and print, so he wanted to offer cutom soles that would offer the perfect fit to every feet. He begins molding feet in an old dish but then the adventure really began when Jacques Martin and Gabriel Pellicot joined in. Based in Voiron, France, Sidas products comply with sports needs but they're also intended for medical use. In 1985, the company creates its medical branch Podiatech. François Duvillard succeeds Loïc David in 1996 and the brand wins an Innovation award the same year. Between 2008 and 2013, Sidas is rewarded again for a bunch of innovations like self-heating liners, 3feet socks (suited for different foot archs), or the Flashfit machine designed for heating and fitting soles. One of Sidas most notorious product is the Custom insole, 100% customisable. Sidas insoles are renowned to provide ultimate foot comfort and the brand also offers gel protectors to avoid shin pain or blisters common to skiing.
