Before the nordic clothing brand Sportful, there was a little wool factory at the foot of the Dolomites mountains in Italy. At their beginnings in 1946, Olindo and Irma Cremonese did sheep wool shearing and weaving, but by the end of the 60’s they began making underwear under the name Manifattura Valcismon. Then, in 1972, their son Giordano, a cross-country ski enthusiast, created an outfit specifically designed for the practice of this sport. He used acrylic in order to design a high-performance clothing that felt comfortable no matter the weather. Building on its success, Sportful diversified its activity and took on cycling in 1985. The brand had the privilege of dressing many national teams in its two favourite disciplines. Still located in the heart of its native mountains, the Cremonese family keeps innovating for the love of sport with high-quality nordic pants and jackets.
