Product description — Cultivator Da Chain Link ***

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

We sell items with cosmetic defects. This board is brand new, covered by the manufacturer's warranty and has no construction or manufacturing defects: there is a light scratch on the topsheet graphic, caused during transport or storage in our warehouse. It is graded 3 stars: virtually new, with barely visible defects.

The Burton Cultivator Chain Link is a versatile freestyle board designed for learning and progressing without fighting your equipment. Easy to get to grips with, it supports your first seasons across the whole resort, with a real appetite for playing on the side country and small features.

What is the Burton Cultivator Chain Link snowboard built for?

It rides anywhere in the resort, with a bias towards playing around: small jumps, butters and first runs in switch. Its twin tip shape is perfectly symmetrical, so it rides identically regular and switch (backwards). Its flat camber (Flat Top in Burton's range) keeps continuous contact with the snow: the board stays stable, turns effortlessly and forgives edge mistakes.

Who is the Burton Cultivator Chain Link snowboard for?

It is aimed at beginner to intermediate snowboarders who want to progress quickly and enjoy themselves from the very first turns.

  • Beginners linking their first turns
  • Riders consolidating their basics and discovering switch
  • Snowboarders who want to get started on small features

A great choice if you are looking for a forgiving board to progress without frustration. Best avoided if you are aiming for big jumps or deep powder.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
