Product description — Custom Flying V Da White **

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

We sell items with cosmetic defects. This board is brand new, covered by the manufacturer's warranty and has no construction or manufacturing defects: its topsheet has a slight scratch, with no effect on performance, caused during transport or storage in our warehouse.

The Burton Custom Flying V takes the brand's signature board and gives it a more forgiving profile. Versatile and playful, it rides the whole mountain, from the snowpark to powder, for riders who want a single board for their whole season.

What is the Burton Custom Flying V snowboard built for?

It is a versatile freestyle board: it rides everywhere and plays with the terrain, features included. Its directional twin shape is largely symmetrical with a slight offset, striking a balance between ease in switch and all-mountain performance. Its Flying V profile (rocker between the feet, camber underfoot) makes it more forgiving than a traditional camber board, more fun in powder and more playful on piste.

Who is the Burton Custom Flying V snowboard for?

It suits intermediate to advanced riders looking to take their riding to the next level across the whole mountain.

  • Independent snowboarders who mix piste, park and powder
  • Riders who want to progress in freestyle without a board that is too demanding

A great choice if you want one board that does it all. Not recommended for complete beginners.

Frequently asked questions about the Burton Custom Flying V snowboard

How does it differ from the traditional camber Custom?

The Flying V profile makes it more forgiving and gives it more float in powder. The traditional camber version grips more but calls for a more committed riding style.

What construction is hidden beneath the Custom Flying V?

A FSC-certified Super Fly II 700G core, reinforced with 45° fibreglass and carbon highlights for pop and responsiveness.

Does the board hold well on hard snow?

Yes, its Frostbite edges boost grip underfoot, which is useful on icy pistes.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
