Description

Binding crampons are an essential piece of gear for your safety when ski touring. They improve your grip when climbing skins are not enough because of the steepness of the slope or the snow conditions. On hardpack or icy snow, binding crampons allow you to keep progressing on your skis. However, they aren’t not an alternative to proper mountaineering crampons on ice and can’t be used on rocks.

Regarding the choice of width, make sure to pick a version wider than your skis at the waist, so that the crampons clear the sidewalls. You need a few millimetres on each side.

The Fritschi Xenic 85 binding crampons are designed for Fritschi's Xenic bindings. With a sturdy construction, they are also lightweight and easy to use, and are also compatible with Dynafit and Trab bindings.
