Product description — G12 Lt hybrid + step in

The Grivel G12 Lt is designed for mountaineering, with a 12-point steel configuration that delivers secure grip on snow, ice and mixed terrain. The LT construction reduces overall weight thanks to an optimised material thickness, without compromising durability under repeated use. The proactive Antibott system at the front and rear helps limit snow build-up under the crampon while moving. Thanks to the Grivel Crampon System (G.C.S.), the components are interchangeable so you can adjust the setup according to the terrain and the boot used.

Does the anti-balling system really prevent snow build-up?

Yes, the front and rear anti-balling plates reduce snow compaction under the sole while walking.

Is this crampon suitable for glacier travel as well as technical mountaineering?

Yes, it is recommended for both mountaineering and glacier hiking.

What does the G.C.S. system offer in terms of compatibility?

It allows you to swap bindings and accessories to adapt the crampon to different boots.

Is the hybrid binding suitable for all types of boot?

This version is compatible with boots featuring a rear welt, as well as boots with both front and rear welts. The front binding system is interchangeable.

  • Hybrid and step-in binding
  • 12 steel points
