Buyer’s guide to Anon ski goggles

Anon ski goggles are especially renowned for the quality of their SONAR lenses. SONAR lenses offer higher performance, boosting contrast and extending the usable range of each lens within its category. Highly refined, they are developed in partnership with German optics leader Zeiss. You’ll find models with interchangeable lenses from category 1 to 4 to maintain optimal vision in all conditions. Very practical if the day looks fine but you’re worried a cloudy spell might catch you out: keep a category 1 lens in your pack to swap with the category 3 lens already fitted.

On top of that, to ensure a clear field of vision in all circumstances, the vast majority of Anon lenses feature anti-fog, hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings. This helps prevent water, snow and fingerprint marks on the lens.

The originality of Anon’s MFI system lies in using its highly effective magnetic system to place additional magnets under the frame, so you can position a neck warmer or face mask beneath the ski goggles. This protects the lower face from the cold while helping to prevent fogging. Anon are the only ones to offer such accessories with great design and coordinated looks for a seamless match.

Which lens colour should you choose in bad weather?

Light yellow, amber or light orange
These tints are the most effective for improving contrast when the light is flat. They filter part of the blue light, which enhances terrain reading, improves depth perception and makes it easier to spot irregularities in fog or falling snow.

Light pink or light red
Less common, these tints have similar properties: they improve contrast and visual comfort in cloudy or misty conditions while reducing eye fatigue.
