The POC Skull Dura X Spin ski racing helmet is certified to FIS RH 2013 standards, which means that it is approved for all International Ski Federation competitions, whether in giant slalom, Super G and all other alpine ski races. It benefits from an ultra-protective design, inspired by the role the cerebrospinal fluid plays in the natural protection of the brain. Consisting of a strong PC/ABS shell, it combines Spin technology and EPP lining to minimise the energy transmitted to the brain in the event of a fall and repeated impacts. The Spin technology consists of pads placed inside the helmet. By moving independently and in a multidirectional manner, they absorb the amount of force transmitted to the head and brain. The EPP lining on the inside of the helmet is thicker in strategic areas. It also helps to absorb repeated shock.
The POC Skull Dura X Spin ski helmet also benefits from Race Lock technology. This innovative system allows competitors to adjust the helmet very precisely in order to minimise vibrations at very high speeds. Developed in such a way that it does not interfere with the position of the skier during a race, the Race Lock technology allows for a precise adjustment just before the start of a race, using gloves.
In order to ensure that safety is not compromised, the Skull Dura X Spin features earpieces designed in a way that does not affect balance and audition. These are removable to ensure that in the event of a fall and if serious injury is suspected, doctors can safely remove the helmet. The POC Skull Dura X Spin helmet is equipped with a very comfortable Fidlock chinstrap which, easy to handle even with gloves, allows for a precise fit. Finally, please note that this ski helmet is compatible with the Maxilla Breakaway chin strap (sold separately).
