Ice axe Viper Ice Tool Adze

The Black Diamond Viper Ice Tool Adze is designed to offer the perfect balance of lightness, strength and versatility for alpine climbing. Its one-piece hydroformed aluminium shaft, with a curved shape, improves clearance and handling comfort while remaining rigid and durable. Equipped with an I.C.E. pick and an adze, it delivers high efficiency on ice, hard snow and steep gullies. Thanks to the I.C.E. system, the tool is fully modular: picks, heads and accessories can be swapped out depending on the terrain or climbing style. The adjustable FlickLock upper pommel and retractable lower pommel add comfort and adaptability, making it easy to switch from placements to progress on snow. The over moulded grip, tacky yet comfortable, ensures reliable control even when wearing thick gloves. A technical and hard-wearing model, purpose-built for varied alpine ascents and demanding conditions.
