The Petzl Gully Panne ice axe is ultra-compact (45 cm) and weighs only 280 g. Thanks to the Trigrest hand rest it is easily adjustable. This adze version is ideal to dig in snow.

Description

The Gully from Petzl is an ultra-lightweight ice axe with an aluminium shaft and a strong and efficient banana-shaped pick. This adze version is particularly compact (only 45 cm) and will allow you to dig dead man anchors and cut steps. With its size, the Gully is easy to carry on your backpack. Regarding ergonomics, Petlz featured a Trigrest adjustable hand rest to adapt to the terrain. The lower part of the shaft has grooves for better grip. Weighing 280 g, the Gully ice axe is perfect for steep skiing and technical mountaineering.
