Description

The Salewa MTN Trainer 2 GTX is a low cut approach shoe with a relatively stiff sole element, allowing to progress through rocks without feeling their sharp edges. The high-end design enables a versatile use, alpine hiking, trekking, or via ferrata, you name it. 

Made in north-east Italy, this shoe benefits from a durable construction with a suede upper. The lacing system, connected to the sole and heel starts close to the toes. It ensures a more precise adjustment and perfect foot support, a great asset for technical sections.  

The Mountain Trainer 2 features a waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex membrane which ensures maximum protection from the wet. The Vibram outsole enables to feel confident on any surface. The lugs provide traction both on grass, mud, snow and rocks. The midfoot part of the sole has been specifically designed to offer grip on via ferrata ladders.  

Salewa has given much attention to comfort thanks to an Ortholite footbed which protects from the wet and provides support. The expanded polyurethane midsole promotes impact absorption and provide rebound.
