The Fischer Speedmax 80 Skate Plus 610 Medium is a skating cross-country ski for enthusiasts looking for progression and race-inspired sensations. It combines lightness, dynamism and stability for efficient glide across a wide range of snow conditions, especially in milder to warmer temperatures.

What is the Fischer Speedmax 80 Skate Plus 610 Medium designed for?

This model is aimed at sporty skiers who want to push their skating further with a construction derived from elite skis. Its Air Core Carbon core keeps weight low while providing excellent torsional stiffness, while Cold Base Bonding preserves the integrity of the base to maximize glide and wax absorption. The Sidecut World Cup Skate geometry combined with the DTG World Cup Plus finish improves acceleration and grip under powerful loading or on transformed snow. The 610 construction brings the contact points closer to the center of the ski, which supports acceleration and delivers a very stable feel during the push phase.

This model is delivered with a thin protective hot-wax layer on the base to protect it from dirt and oxidation during storage. This is not glide wax intended for immediate skiing: before the first outing, the layer must at minimum be scraped off with a sharp Plexiglas scraper using light, even pressure in the direction of glide. The base should then be brushed with a nylon or combination brush until its structure is fully exposed.
