What are the characteristics of the Rossignol X-IUM Skating Premium+ S2 IFP Nordic ski?
This version of the Premium+ S2 is without a doubt the most versatile. First, because the S2 skis feature a long camber suitable for compact snow, and because the K7000 base with versatile cold structure works for the most common conditions encountered in Europe. Thanks to the long camber, it provides a sizable pushing surface, therefore more aggressivity when skating. We are not going to lie, dedicated skiers often ski in the morning on hard pack, in this spirit, you cannot ignore its performance. The Medium flex is the most versatile, as it suits the most common body weights encountered in cross-country skiing. To talk about structure, it is similar to the former model, with a Nomex honeycomb wrapped in carbon to improve lightness and reactivity on accelerations. The external structure changes for this version, reworked for a lighter ski, the top layer has been removed, explaining why the top finish is mate and not shiny. The outcome can be felt directly on snow, the ski is more balanced, the front tip is livelier and you get less pendular motion during transitions. Skiers used to the brand will be surprised to experience how such a detail can improve the ski and make it more agile under foot. On the practical side of things, the IFP mounting plates are integrated to the skis, they are suitable for Turnamic bindings to be compatible with NNN, Prolink and Turnamic boot standards.
