Second shoe of the Alpina range, the Pro Skate can even be considered as a very top-of-the-range model. Alpina, the Slovenian brand specialised in top of the range and high-performance shoes delivers once again a masterpiece of technique, very close to the full carbon models. More than ever Alpina is above everything in terms of technicality and sensations. 

What are the characteristics of the Alpina Pro Skate cross-country ski boot?   

The magnificent Pro Skate makes a sensational debut with technical novelties that reflect the professionalism of the Slovenian brand in terms of innovation. The collar has been revised compared to the old version, it is now thinner and lighter and has an enhanced rigidity. If we add to this the carbon midsole under the Rottefella sole, we obtain a breathtakingly dynamic rendering for a shoe that is in fact only the second in the Alpina range. The base of the carbon buttresses has been reserved, and the low-cut coating of the heel is sufficient to stabilise the foot for skiing. The lateral rigidity is exemplary and the collar holds the ankle perfectly, it minimises lateral rotation enabling the skier to maintain balance in the right axis after the ski is put on. Even the clamp of the collar has been refined, which ensures that the ankle flexion is not hindered in any way. As far as the gaiter is concerned, this is also brand new! The Pro Skate is now equipped with a 4Dry technology that promotes breathability and water repellence and a fit closer to the foot. The lacing system remains in the purest Alpina tradition, lacing with flat laces at 45° which ensures the best possible precision. Add to this the characteristic Alpina close-to-the-foot fit, and you get a delight of control, precision and efficiency. The NNN Xcelerator outsole remains thin and guarantees optimal proximity to the ski given that it is not a carbon sole. Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful pieces in our collection, this Pro Skate is a delight to ski and clearly raises the level of the range of boots in this category. Certainly, more expensive than its competitors, we must not however neglect its technical contribution which makes it almost a shoe between two ranges, one level below full carbon, and one level above the second boots of each brand.
