Product description — Hawx Prime Xtd 130 Boa Olive Ice

The Atomic Hawx Prime XTD 130 BOA Olive Ice is a freerando boot designed for experienced skiers looking for a model that delivers power on the descent and efficiency during the approach. With its 130 flex, precise BOA® Fit System tightening on the forefoot, and its ski/walk mode Free/Lock 4.5, it combines power transfer, consistent support, and cuff mobility to handle everything from the slopes to freeride, and short ascents on skins.

What is the intended use of the Atomic Hawx Prime XTD 130 BOA Olive Ice ski boot?

The Hawx Prime XTD 130 BOA Olive Ice is designed for a freerando program focused on aggressive downhill skiing. Its 130 flex provides direct power transfer and a high level of precision when the terrain becomes technical, fast, or uneven. The Free/Lock 4.5 mechanism allows you to release the cuff during the ascent with 54° of range of motion, then lock it securely to regain powerful performance on the descent. The BOA® Fit System adjusts the forefoot tightness quickly, precisely, and evenly, while the Prolite construction keeps weight down without compromising stiffness. With a 100 mm last width, it offers a good balance between comfort and precision for medium-width feet.

Who is the Atomic Hawx Prime Xtd 130 Boa Olive Ice ski boot designed for?

It’s designed for intermediate to expert skiers who want a stiff, precise, and high-performance boot for aggressive downhill skiing, while still retaining a walk mode for approaches and short ascents on skins. Its 130 flex requires good technique and significant physical effort to be fully utilized.

What are the main features of the Atomic Hawx Prime Xtd 130 Boa Olive Ice ski boot?

Stiffness

Versatility

Precision

Is the 130 flex suitable for intermediate skiers?

No, the 130 flex is intended more for advanced to expert skiers. It requires good technical skill, a firm grip on the tongue, and an aggressive skiing style to fully take advantage of its precision.

Is the boot compatible with GripWalk bindings?

Yes, its GripWalk sole is compatible with GripWalk bindings and makes walking on flat terrain easier.

How does it differ from the Hawx Prime XTD 120 BOA?

The Hawx Prime XTD 130 BOA offers a stiffer flex than the Hawx Prime XTD 120 BOA—130 versus 120. It therefore provides more direct power transfer, firmer support, and a more demanding ride on descents, making it better suited for expert skiers seeking maximum precision on technical terrain.
