Fischer Carbonlite skis: the legend continues

When you decide to put the RCS range on the back burner, it's because there's something really big behind it. And as soon as the first Carbonlite was released, the verdict was clear: this brand new ski incorporates a carbon plate in its structure, making it more dynamic than any Fischer ski before it. Since 2007, the Crabonlite has undergone major changes, both in terms of construction and geometry.

In 2010, for the Vancouver Olympic Games, Fischer presented a Carbonlite skating ski with hollow tips. Once again, the concept was surprising on paper, but it made the ski better, eliminating the rocker at the end of the push thanks to improved balance. Until 2014, this ski would remain the world and Olympic reference in terms of medals and a model of performance, until the arrival of the Speedmax. The latest innovation is the Cold Base Bonding process, which preserves the molecular integrity of the base during assembly.

A ski that only stayed at the top for 7 years, but which made Nordic skiing history in record time. The Fischer Carbonlite range of skis is always present and still ultra-effective, making it a highly attractive alternative for sporty, ambitious skiers. The history of Carbonlite skis cannot be separated from that of the boots in the eponymous range.

The history of Fischer Carbonlite cross-country ski boots is shorter, but just as full of exceptional feats and dazzling technical progress for the Austrian brand.

Who doesn't remember Jason Lamy-Chappuis' winning sprint at the Vancouver Games? It was the first and best add of what was, at the time, Fischer's revolutionary new boot.

To understand this boot, you have to remember that 15 years ago, Fischer was clearly not an expert in racing boots and that the vast majority of athletes used other brands. So it was a race against time to catch up with the best manufacturers. The first Carbonlite Skate and Classic boots were a success and, more than just for athletes, they opened a new perspective for everyday skiers. A boot with a carbon cuff, an instep strap (skate models) for cushioning and a generous, welcoming fit - what better way to make a name for yourself?

Over time, of course, this range has also evolved, both in terms of the chassis, now in carbon and wrapped around the heel, and with the latest innovation, the removal of the instep ratchet. Slightly snugger in terms of volume, the boots have nonetheless retained what has made them such a hit with skiers: their exceptional comfort. It's become a benchmark for regular skiers, because it's stable, high-performance, rigid and comfortable. In short, with this model Fischer has come out with a racing model suitable for recreational skiers at an affordable price.
