Description

The Head J 1 ski boot for toddlers supports their very first turns on green runs and the magic carpet at the snow park. Everything is designed to respect the natural posture of very young feet.

What is the Head J 1 ski boot designed for?

The J 1 is part of a recreational program focused on introducing children to alpine skiing on gentle slopes and in ski school areas. Its unique low-profile plastic buckle is all that’s needed to close the shell without requiring much force, which helps children become more independent. The Fit Junior last is based on the Vario Last, with increased volume in smaller sizes to better fit the natural shape of young feet. The Natural Kid Stance geometry reduces the angle of attack to stay close to a natural standing position.

Who is the Head J 1 ski boot designed for?

This model is designed for young beginner skiers taking introductory lessons or attending ski school.

What are the main features of the Head J 1 ski boot?

Learning

Simplicity

Flexibility

Is it easy for a child just starting out to put the boots on by themselves?

Yes, the Easy Entry design and single buckle make it quick to put on, even without an adult’s help.

What age range is the J 1 designed for?

Sizes range from 15.5 to 18.5, which generally covers the 3- to 6-year-old age range, depending on foot shape.

What is the purpose of the Duo Flex feature on a beginner’s ski boot?

It provides an initial flexible flex to help bend the legs and find center balance, followed by a more progressive engagement as the boot flexes further.

What’s the difference between this and the J 2?

The J 2 adds a second hook and offers larger sizes (19.5 to 22.5), for children who are a bit more advanced than those just starting out in the snow park.
