The first shoe in the Rossignol's skating range, the X-6 is a very tolerant shoe. It has the advantage of not constraining skiers lacking technical references with a collar and a fairly flexible structure. A perfect model for episodic use or when learning to skate.   

What are the characteristics of the X-6 Skate cross-country ski boot?   

Getting started in skating is not always easy, depending on one's sporting experience, sporting level or dexterity. For learning, there is nothing better than a comfortable and tolerant shoe that will allow you to avoid adding physical constraints or comfort. It is with this in mind that Rossignol has developed the X-6, a shoe that offers sufficient support while allowing a little more freedom in the collar and less sole rigidity to forgive any faults in support or thrust. The 3D Injection Free Support collar provides the necessary stability for skating while maintaining flexibility. It is attached to the 3D plastic lateral buttresses which have the role of blocking and stabilising the heel when guiding the ski. The collar is attached by a Velcro strap which is placed over the zip fastening of the boots. Access to the boot is easy and the insole volume is generous and comfortable. The Speedlace Lock lacing system makes it easy to adjust the liner. The Turnamic sole ensures sufficient torsional rigidity in relation to the technical level of the skiers who have to use it. It is compatible with the Prolink, NNN and Turnamic binding standards. The X-6 is a very good compromise to gain technical confidence when starting out in skating.
