Highly anticipated, Rossignol's new classic cross-country ski racing boot is the very first of the brand to present a fully moulded carbon chassis. This new shoe clearly stands out from the old models and leaves no room for chance when it comes to precision and performance.   

What are the characteristics of the Rossignol X-IUM Carbon Premium Classic Course cross-country ski boot?  

The big change on this boot is the integration of the new 100% carbon chassis moulded on a single piece. This ensures superior support on the lateral supports and better torsional homogeneity of the sole during propulsion. The benefit is also significant in terms of foot movement and the dynamism of the carbon sole at the end of the thrust in the axis. Technically, this shoe was developed with the collaboration of some of the world's best technicians in the classic field, including Alexander Bolshunov, recent winner of the Cross-Country World Cup and the Oslo 50km classic. On the outside of the boot, Rossignol has opted for continuity, with a lace-up cover with an asymmetrical zip and a soft neoprene liner that helps to keep the foot in place. The only thing that has been removed is the Velcro strap. The shoe is tightened by the Speedlace Lock system, this highly efficient quick lacing concept is attached to nylon straps on the foot contours for a homogeneous grip. This prevents hard points on the instep while fitting the liner around the entire circumference of the foot. In terms of sensations, the shoe has clearly improved its snow contact as the plastic sole has given way to a thinner full carbon frame. The support is more direct and precise, and the dynamic propulsion optimises the energy deployed in each thrust.
