Description

The Atomic Backland FR is a matching pole to our new Backland FR skis. Like them, it was designed and developed in collaboration with freeskiing legend Chris Benchetler. A good freeski pole should be light, keep your agility and help you stay focused. That's why this model is made of a lightweight aluminum alloy and features a non-slip mountain bike handle and an 85mm powder puck for extra lift. But when you're off-roading, a pole worthy of the name should be useful, so we've equipped the Backland FR with a handy screwdriver for adjusting or repairing your bindings along the way. Finally, the carbide tip resists impacts against trees or rocks and you can adjust the length of the pole from 110 to 130 cm.

Exceptions:

- For a single-section hiking pole, add about 5 cm to the values above to improve efficiency on climbs.

- For a telescopic pole, if you are taller than 1.85 m, choose a model extending up to 1.50 m to avoid reaching full extension.
