Description

The Black Diamond Expedition Ski Desert Sky telescopic ski poles are designed for regular ski tourers. Their two-strand aluminum design (18 mm for the top, 16 mm for the bottom) guarantees a good compromise between lightness and strength. The FlickLock adjustment system makes it possible to adjust the length in a matter of seconds, with the added bonus of an integrated PH3 screwdriver bit for minor repairs. The handle features an EVA foam extension to vary grip depending on the terrain. A straight pommel serves as a snow scraper, while a textured tip facilitates handling of bindings and wedges. The straps, secured by a lark's head knot, can be removed easily.

Exceptions :
  • When going for a single-shafted touring pole, add about 5 centimetres to the length given in the table to gain efficiency through ascents.
  • For a telescopic pole, people measuring more than 1m85 should choose a pole extending up to 1m50 in order to avoid reaching the extension limit.
