Why choose the Scott Superguide touring ski?
The Scott Superguide series is a real institution. It has been in the catalogue for several years and has been improved winter after winter. During the 2020-2021 season, the Scott Superguide was given a great deal of exposure thanks to the Freedom to Explore campaign and the various ski expeditions around the world led by Scott's athletes, with the Scott Superguide at their feet. Thus, it is safe to say that the Superguide has left its mark on numerous peaks around the globe and has proved its worth in all types of snow and in all conditions.

What are the main components of the Scott Superguide?
The Scott Superguide aims to offer you both great lightness and superb manoeuvrability on ascents, while making no compromises on descents. To achieve this, Scott has focused on three main points:
- The Dual Wood Core made of paulownia and beech wood, which offers an excellent power-to-weight ratio while guaranteeing stability and robustness.
- A mixed carbon and aramid fibre structure that runs the full length and width of the ski to stiffen it in torsion without making it heavy. Here again, the aim is to stabilise the ski for greater control during the descent.
- Three-dimensional"" sidecut lines, i.e. three different radii on the same ski to allow for both long curves and short turns, combined with a progressive rocker at the front offering an excellent lift.
Choosing the right Scott Superguide model?
With three widths for men and two widths for women, the Superguide range will allow you to choose the width that suits you best. To do this, you have to ask yourself how fast you want to tour and over what distance, as well as in what snow conditions you will be able to ride.
Skiers who favour efficiency on ascents to the detriment of lift in powder snow should go for the Superguide 88. Those looking for super flotation, even if it means being a little heavier on the ascents, should opt for the Superguide Freetour 105. Finally, the Superguide 95 can be a good compromise between lightness on ascents and skiability in fresh snow.
We follow the same logic for women, with a Superguide 88 W which enables speed on the ascent, and a Superguide 95 W which provides super flotation in the snow but weighs a little more in the thighs during ascents.
Is remaining lightweight possible?
For those whose climbing efficiency is priority number 1, there is the lightweight Scott Speedguide range of touring skis! "
